Vision and Mission
The main responsibilities of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force are 3:-

1. To play a role in the socio-economic development of the country.

2. To maintain internal law and order in the country.

3. To assist any organization including other forces as directed by the Government in urgent need.

Moreover, this force deploys Ansar and VDP members to maintain law and order in nationally important issues such as local and national elections, Biswa Ijtema, rail and highway clearance, autumn Durga Puja etc.
